The Freddy's Cathouse Charity is a small charity on the island of Lanzarote operating in the in the area of Playa Blanca. The charity feeds and takes care of around 150 feral cats every day as well as operating a neutering programme.
Due to the fine reputation the charity has gained for the work they do, they are constantly being asked to spread further afield to other parts of the island to help with sick and injured cats and with litters of kittens that have been dumped.
Owing to the high population of feral cats on the island the charity is now in desperate need of a sanctuary / rescue shelter to act as a place of safety for sick and injured cats and kittens that are in constant need of treatment as well as a fostering and adoption centre.
The charity is run by volunteers and relies solely on voluntary donations so are seeking help to fund this much needed property which the charity envisions would also become a visitor attraction for tourists as well as cat friends.
