        WE NEED YOUR HELP! You ARE THE KEY to help us realize our vision of a fish store where you, and others, can escape and be mesmerized by fascinating and beautiful tropical and saltwater fish. You are helping realize a passion that started when a child, just two and half, was taken by his mother to the fish store. There, he meticulously picked out the specific goldfish he wanted, not brown, shiny orange and without any spots. From that point on, that passion grew into a dream of having his own fish store. Your donation helps us achieve his dream; creating a store that is more than a store, it is a destination. It is a place where you can dive into another world, unlocking mysterious places from around the globe. You will be fully immersed in an environment much like your favorite aquarium; a destination that awed and wow’d you. Your donation will be providing a place where a child will pick out their first fish, where a senior citizen couple will pick out fish together, and where a fish enthusiast will pick out a new rare fish from an exotic location thousands of miles away. You will be creating a place of memories, a place you share stories, a place you soak up new information, and a place you leave equipped to create your own experience at home. If you can donate just $25, that money will go to the purchasing of the live plants, fish, tanks, filtration systems, shelving, aquarium rock, pond and waterfall; all the essential elements that will provide cherished memories for all who visit us. In order to realize this dream within the next few months, we need your support. There is a critical timing of purchasing these necessary supplies, in order to take advantage of special pricing and availability.

Founders: Zach and Greg!

        Zach grew up in North Denver area, living in Thornton, Brighton, and Commerce City. His mother tells the story of when he was two and half, she took him to the pet store, to get a goldfish. Laughing, she says, “he was very particular on the type of goldfish he wanted. It couldn't have any spots, a brown tail, and he wanted it to be a particular, shiny orange and skinny.” She wouldn’t know at that point, but overtime she saw that he had a unique passion and understanding of fish. As he grew, so did his fascination with exotic tropical fish. From Bettas when he was 9, to Oscars when he was 11, to a saltwater tank when he was 19. As he’s grown up, so has his knowledge of fish. He’s owned several 55-70gl aquariums, housing anything from angel fish, mollies, tetras, to the exotic fish like arowana, discus, cichlids, and eels. His saltwater tanks amazed family and friends, with live rock, coral frags, and a variety of colorful, unique fish. He gets fish! His desire, passion and love of fish has just got stronger and stronger over the years. Since he could read, he would spend hours learning about various fish, how they behaved, where they came from. As a young man, he learned more through reading online and sometimes through trial and error, how to properly care and create lush environments for a variety of fish. He watches videos on fish, subscribes to alerts about fish, reads new stories about fish. If there is something online about fish, he’s probably read it. He has a strong business savviness he got from his mother, a successful entrepreneur with her own roofing company. He’s fully equipped to realize his childhood dream of owning a fish/pet store, he just needs your help to make it all a reality. The plans are laid, the business plan written, list of equipment needed, and we’ve already purchased about one-third of the tanks needed for this venture. Your support will help us realize Zach’s dream!          

        Greg grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Fish were apart of his life since he can remember. Trips to the Seattle Aquarium, salmon runs in the rivers, and remembering the first purchase of a guppy when he was five. His dad commented, “he would spend hours just watching that guppy swim back and forth in the 1gl tank.” Over the years, Greg would develop in a business savvy marketer, working for a business/commercial aircraft company, obtaining an MBA, and more recently providing consulting services to small businesses/nonprofits. His strength is in his ability to take a vision, a dream, and executing it into a reality. He understands the entrepreneurial process; assisting with writing the business plan, drafting the mission statement, discovering equipment sources, filing important paperwork for licenses/financials, all to make the dream a reality. When asked why he wanted to get involved in this project, he said, “I love my partner Zach, and I believe in his vision to create, not just a fish store, but a place that is cool, fun and exhilarates the mind.”
