The First Aid Project

Hello! My name is Aarit Patil, I am a Grade 11 student at UWC East. I started this project called the First Aid Project that aims to get first aid kits to various schools in India and Sub-Saharan Africa. After speaking with some kids in non-profit schools I realized how much they lack in terms of medical support, especially as they continue to fight with COVID-19.

So I had partnered with Deepalya, Educate Girls, Build Africa, Akanksha Foundation, and Children Reachout Uganda, to raise money to get the first aid kits. All of these groups have been hard hit by COVID-19, they have not received many supplies and students have stopped coming to school. Right now they are more in need of medical supplies than ever before. I have already raised $2,000 by knocking on doors and putting some of my own savings but in the hopes of reaching my $8,000 fundraising goal, I am looking to you.

Our plan is to finish fundraising in time for their schools to start again after the summer breaks, so help us make it by August 23'rd. Please help me and my group get to reach the $6,000 to get enough first aid kits to help make these children feel safer at school and better protected, through this hopefully creating safer more rewarding schools to their communities.
