The Family Corner

A recent armed robbery on January 1^st 2013 which is the second robbery in few months has left a family of four devastated & struggling just to feed their kid's by keeping their very low income, little country store operable, especially that after their 1^st robber wiped them out of cash & cigarettes a few months back they took a loan so they could reopen again. The 1^st robber had couple of robbery charges and he only got combined sentence of only 8 months in jail.

They need your help so they can fix & operate their small community much needed little business, if you check their store pictures you’ll know what I’m talking about, the store was built in 1935 so most of the wood is rotten, the building has sunk from the back left corner over a foot, the chimney fell off, the floor joists are broken in several spots making the floor sag & unlevel all over the store, because there are no stores around close by that deep in the middle of nowhere but them & after all of this we want them to stay and they are willing to but ran out of all resources.

Please donate as much or as little as you can to save this family who is struggling to make ends meet with less than $200.00 weekly income for the whole family of 4, never claimed any benefits because they believe in not draining the system and still living as a poor but happy family!

The past couple of decades they have been always active reaching out to the community by everything good they have from advice to all kinds of support like emotional support…… ETC and 3 years ago they bought their 1^st house a foreclosure double wide mobile home through an FHA mortgage program, it was an auctioned property as is where is nobody knew what’s in it till after the closing and it turned to be a nightmare with 2 & 3 foot wide holes in the walls & floors & a lot more from re-wiring & re-plumbing so they can get a validation permit so they can move in & we tried to reach the extreme home makeover program without them knowing but we could not figure out how to get in touch with the program people.

So we are asking our friends to Please help these real poor family that have been a big part of the community for several decades to keep this small store operating. It is part of their big dream of owning a gas station, a real house and adding jobs to our community one day.
