The Everly Collective

The Everly Collective was created to enhance access to healing opportunities for the Greater Flint community. Knowing that our individual and collective traumas are linked, we aim to be a bridge-building entity for those directly impacted by violence and other forms of harm and providers to enhance our healing potential.

We are moving into a mixed use commercial/residential building with a four bedroom apartments on the 2nd floor, an art studio on the 3rd floor, and up to 6 working spaces on the first floor for practitioners.

At The Everly Collective, we have designed our practice to be rooted in dismantling white supremacist ideology that non-white people are lesser than others and that we do not know how to be agents of change in our own communities. We understand that dismantling the systems meant to dehumanize has been a long-term process that demands community-based responses to create new and innovative standards and practices of care.

I hope to increase well-being and strengthen the personal agency in the community.

Vision

• Expand what healing, health, and collective well-being options for local residents in Flint, Michigan.
• Create spaces that provide community members opportunities to be seen and heard as opposed to overlooked and excluded through the power of community, experiences, and shared personal advocacy.
• Foster brave spaces for curiosity and joy.
• Provide opportunities to define collective well being for the larger Flint community.
• Increase access to alternative healing practitioners to the Flint community.
• Engage with a diverse set of BIPOC and Indigenous healers to offer partnership, respite, and regenerative engagements to sustain our collective work as light workers.
• Develop and sustain a network of health equity practitioners who care about the well-being of the Flint community and it’s residents.

We are fiscally sponsored by Movimiento (soon to be Lichen Health) Their mission is to: expand human consciousness and reduce human suffering;
in communities, for communities, by communities.
