The Education Dream

I grew up in a polygamous family. The difficult financial situation at home forced all of us children to drop out of school at a young age as going to school was considered a luxury we could not afford. When I got older (I was 24) I then got married to a wonderful husband in 2009 and together we have 3 lovely children.

With the help from my husband I went back to school in order to get the high school qualification that I never got. I managed to write my 'O' Level exams (high school qualification) in 2017 at the age of 32 and I passed. This year I applied at a local University and got accepted to study a Bachelor of Social Science (Honors) in Development. I, however, do not have the necessary funds to pay the tuition in order for me to enroll and start in August. Whatever funds we get, we direct it towards our children's education and my education takes a back seat. I would really like to be a role model to my children and be able to go to university and graduate.

I am therefore appealing to you to help me on this journey to fulfill my dream of graduating. I am grateful to my husband for the support and encouragement. I am just asking for USD2000. which will cover my tuition expenses for the whole 4 year program.

Upon completion of my studies I really want to be able to work within the community, counselling and working with the people who are under privileged. That's my passion.
