The Dream Team came about when The Party Squad responded to a request on a Facebook group.  It was a plea from a special lady called Julie Durkin, her Grandson is a regular visitor of Alder Hey, and she and her family support all the families that walk through the hospital doors.  At the time there was a baby who was potentially going to share his last Christmas with his famlily at the hospital, and Julie wanted to give them a Christmas they would never forget. The Party Squad saw their plea and wanted to give them a special Christmas, it planted a seed and at the time was called Wonderland Wishes, but Ditzy Doodles soon realised she couldn't do it on her own and like minded businesses Chris and Tom Bailey of Misty Moo Face Painting & Balloon Modelling, and Lily Martin or Reflections Face Art, came together to create what is now known as The Dream Team. We are all self employed, not earning a huge amount of money, but we like to dedicate our time to precious families across Merseyside and Cheshire. The Dream Team offer Life Celebration Parties for children with life limiting and shortening conditions, these parties give families happy memories from a day that is full of fun and laughter, we aim to give the child a day they will never forget. We currently raise funds through the year with annual events at Easter, Halloween and Christmas that everybody can purchase tickets for, have lots of fun and create more happy memories for precious families.  Since starting The Dream Team have supplied over £3000 worth or parties and party services for 7 events to precious families over the past 4 years. The Dream Team want to offer even more in 2015, and can't do it just on our fundraising parties alone, after costs of organising our annual events we are lucky enough to raise a couple of hundred pound, mulitply that by 3 events per year, and we bearly make £1000 per year, and with an average party costing over £500, we can't create enough parties to meet the demand.  We are inundated with request from precious families, who really want to celebrate their chid's life with them, their family ande friends, but sadly families with precious children don't have time or funds to create a party due to the time they dedicate to their child's health needs.  We don't want to turn families away who really need our services. Some might say, "money could be spent on better things", but for us, creating special memories in the here and now for children with life limiting and shortening conditions is very precious indeed, and I am sure the families we've supported would agree too, and any future families we can work with. Please give what you can, and if you would like to come on board to help at events, please contact us.   X X X
