Campaign Story
Hello everyone, my name is Alex. I'm 19 this year. It has been for almost 6 years I have been battling acne since 14. I have endured them for far too long and I think I have reached a breaking point. I went through a dozen treatments in hoping for the acne to go away. Some did work but did not last for a long time. I went to Dermalogica treatment when I was 15. It worked for a couple of weeks then breakouts breakouts breakouts. When I was 16, my mum took me to a dermatologist was prescribed me isotretinoin and another medication that I don't remember. Isotretinoin was a very powerful one but I noticed there was a cycle. In a month, let's say 4 weeks, the first 2 weeks was perfect and another 2 weeks was disastrous. I purchased a full set of skin regime but it turned out to be a waste of money. It didn't work at all. It stings, itching, more redness, and more breakout. When I was 17, I couldn't bear anymore to the point I decided to use BB cream to cover up blemishes until now 19 years old. I just don't like the idea despite being using them for almost 2 years but I swap to EE cream after that. I would only use the cream when I planned to go out like college, watching a movie, planned events, etc. Also, I'm quite a loner due to acne. It has killed my self-esteem in college. I used to be an extrovert when I was 14 despite the breakout BUT rare. And now, I'm beyond introvert like a cold introvert. That's how I would put it. To add on, I'm quite disappointed with my parent because they see the breakout but didn't do much about it. My mum did try to help but she's a housewife so earnings are from my dad and it's very limited. I've been trying to save up for the one last acne treatment I have been looking into, which is laser treatment. I'm aware that diet also plays their own role. I've been avoiding dairy products, gluten, and eggs but how far can I go. I just want to put an end to it. I just want my whole self again.
