The Dark History Musuem: A-Live Experience

Taking you back 700 years into Myton (you may know it now as Hull)'s History. We'll transport you back in time to witness some of the dark history you may have forgotten.

Hull has a very dark and mysterious history and as such we believe more people should understand it.The Dark History Museum will be a walk through attraction in which you will be taken on a journey. With the use of sets, actors and both audio and visual technology you will feel like you have travelled back in time.

The tour currently has 8 scenes covering topics such as Torture and Executions, The plague and connections to witchcraft, syphilis monks (Blackfriars Monks), Work houses, Tales from the Black Boy, Smugglers tunnels and The Gallows. Designed to last around 45-60 Minutes per tour.

The Museum itself will contain facts and historical moments from Hull’s History and these will be told through actor and visual technologies. Although we will still have some reading material we find that people wish to have a much more entertaining attraction which we plan to offer.

We will also be catering the scenes to younger children and school visits as we will adapt scenes to have less scares and tongue in cheek humour so this will truly be an all round family attractions.

When will we open and where are we based?

At Current rate we will be looking to open January 2019 after we have recieved all permissions needed.

We have acquired a building in the city centre of Hull no more then a 5 minute walk away from the Bus and train station. The building we have has taken a lot of hard work to bring it back up to standards needed and still has a lot of work to be done in order to make it safe and usable for our attraction, however we are confident that a January opening is going to happen (If not sooner with your guys help)

Why Do we need your help?

We need your help as the building work has taken a lot more of our funding then we had first anticipated. So we are offering early ticket sales for our attraction in order to gain some of that funds back to help progress the attraction build a lot faster. So if you want to be one of the first to enter our doors we are now giving you the chance to do so.

As you can see our rewards are pre booked tickets for our attraction and this is the only place to get them first.
