The Cusco Project

HEY EVERYONE!

For my birthday this year I wanted to do something a little different. As another birthday approaches, I have been contemplating on what I wanted to do. I have spent a lot of time this year reflecting on my life and how blessed I have truly been. I realized that, at times, I have forgotten how lucky I am to simply be born in a country like Canada that provides me with the opportunities and resources to succeed in so many ways. For a while now, I've wanted to do something that would allow me to give back in a greater capacity, and I have decided that this is the year I do something to help make a difference in the world.

At the end of July, Dwight and I will be going to Peru to volunteer in the city of Cusco. We will be helping the community reach their developmental goals by helping to build new structures for community use, renovating existing community buildings, and improving local infrastructure, which includes schools, community centers and clinics.

Aside from our volunteer activities there, I opened this page to give everyone the chance to participate in this journey with us through donation. All of the money raised will be donated to a local charity in Cusco, to assist with their future efforts to enhance their communities.
