The chance to SEE grandchildren

There's nothing in the world more meaningful and important to a man then to one day see his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.  My grandpa is in desperate need of extensive cataract eye surgery ASAP or he will go blind and there's no going back.  For those of you who know my grandpa, he is one of thee nicest, caring, and generous men you will ever met.  He will always make sure everyone around him is fed and okay, even if that means him going without.  He has been married to my grandma for over 40 years. He is also a father to three children, a grandfather to 3 girls, and a great grandfather to 1 girl.  You see, his grandchildren are his entire world. Right next to his hot rods of course :).

I am not one to ask for help myself, but I see my grandpa's quality of life suffering. I know that things could be different for him with a little help from others.  I'm not asking for a lot, a single dollar would be greatly appreciated! My grandpa may be a little upset with me when he finds out what I have done (You see my grandpa ALWAYS helps others before himself!) but I am willing to take the chance knowing that he could possibly see well enough again to bait his own fishing hook.  I actually tried getting approved for a loan to cover his medical costs, but was not approved, so I figured I'd reach out.  

To add a funny story to this to really show how bad his sight is getting, the other day he was making my grandma a bowl of ice cream and yelled from the kitchen to see if she wanted chocolate (of course she did, who doesn't love chocolate). So he reached in the fridge started pouring, put it back and walked towards the living room.  He stops at the door of the kitchen and thinks "what the hell, it smells like bbq sauce" so he sniffs the ice cream and sure enough he had covered it with BBQ sauce instead of chocolate! So before grandma notices him at the kitchen door, he rushed back in and scrapes what he could off then really covers it all in chocolate this time and hands it to grandma. Without saying a word to her about what he did he just continues to watch his hot rod shows and before ya know it grandma is spitting it out! Needless to say, there was still some BBQ sauce on the bottom of the bowl! :p
