This humble campaign is all about making a feature film in and around the remote township of Nhulunbuy, North East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia. The scenery is pristine and spectacular, and the people that live there are brimming with diversity, charm, and character. Unfortunately most Aussies have never been there... or even know where this chunk of paradise is, they usually just fly over it on their way to Bali !
But put this in your pipe and smoke it !
This incredibly unique place is going to be [with your help] the backdrop to a fantastic full length Comedy/Drama, 'The Boat with No Name'. Garnished with a rip roaring soundtrack from local Northern Territory artists.
This is a story more Epic than any other Epic ever Epicted, by man, and which ever way you look at it... that's a serious amount of Epicness.
We plan to harness the untapped acting talent of the Nhulunbuy community, and churn out a masterpiece of Outback Filmology, but we need your help !
We need to raise a small budget to breathe some life into this cracking Northern Territory feature film.

Set amidst the raw beauty of North East Arnhem Land Phil and Al two battlers in their latter years have inherited a boat. With all their good intentions, they try to start a Fishing and Sightseeing business, in the hope of making enough money to help the little coastal community fund there own school teacher.
What they lack in professionalism they make up for in optimism!
One thing leads to another and there first client is a well to do radio personality from inner city Melbourne, Mary McGovern. Virtually on the verge of a breakdown she is escaping her hectic schedule and failing relationship, and has decided to get as far from Melbourne as possible.
Thrills and spills as The Boat with No Name slices through the turquoise waters, uncovering spectacular places, crazy characters, and the odd mishap or three!
Planning to begin filming April-May 2020, red carpet rolls out around August.
The Creative Team
Writer actor and Raconteur Phil O'Brien is committed to creating entertainment for the common man , his drive and passion is undaunted, and accompanying him on the burly front row of creativity is one of the greatest acting heavyweights no one has ever heard of ...Al Zimdahl.
Added to this dream team is a few very valued technical camera and sound crew, who have generously put their hand up to be part of this exciting project. Experienced Producer Robyn Marais who has produced and been part of a lot of great film productions over the years is also assisting and mentoring the team.

Al Zimdahl and Phil O'Brien although used to working with 'no budget' are ever hopeful the tide turns, and they make the heady transition to 'low budget' with this crowd funding campaign.
But there previous films have still managed some success , made from small change found underneath the car seat, 'Somewhere...Just north of a Song' [A combination of two no budget films rolled into one even longer no budget film] was seen by over 100,000 viewers on community Television, and there classic no budget spectacular 'On Tour and Lookin for a Feed' impressed at upmarket events such as CinefestOZ and was voted film of the year at Barrow Creek.
