They are under extreme suffering beyond and imaginable thought, and these are not people whom are in Africa or Asia, where you would imagine extreme poverty and despair to be present, but this is a family living in the richest parts of the world and would be better off living in a poor country being safe and happy together than the torture the are now enduring, and for no reason at all!

My story is as follows:

I met a young man in 2002 , in Dubai, I was 22 he was 36, His name was Amar and he was from Holland of Arabic origin , he had just left his Job in Holland working for (Price water House Coopers) then IBM global services. Amar was an engineer and an excellent example of an entrepreneur. He loved new ideas and was extremely active and full of life. His most distinguished feature is he was always optimistic and never turned away from people whom needed help, he loved to host people , talk and support others and always made sure there was plenty to eat, I was very happy when I was able to meet him as I was very poor and came from a turbulent family where my parents were divorced and I had an abusive father and since Amar was 13 years older than me , he treated me like a son and always advised me as well as his attendance to my needs ,as I needed a dentist urgently and I had bad eyesight. Amar took care of all these needs and always said, please call me if you need anything, don’t be shy to ask!

Amar always said that money is irrelevant if you have it and use it, for the good of people.

The friendship between Amar and I continued for many years, as I learned a great deal from him, he preached me and lectured me on various issues in life, technical issues, dealing with my family, how to think and finding a niche idea ,social skills and how to avoid sadness and people whom had negative influence on me, as I was relatively young and made a few mistakes in my life, but over the years Amar became my mentor and both my older brother and father, whom I always needed. He was always patient and took the time to explain anything that I would ask him, he was a great source of education, as he lived in New York and Amsterdam for so many years, while I was just a local man whom has never seen the world.

As The years went by and the friendship became a family bond between Amar and myself, I accompanied Amar on many trips to other countries, we went to Malaysia and Egypt as well as Jordan and Turkey. When I became 30 years of age in 2010 ,I desired to get married to the woman whom I have always loved , and I planned my wedding on a date where Amar was not busy and could attend my wedding , As Amar was very busy , designing a factory concept that will offer him a comfortable future, he was always busy and worked day and night , at some point I noticed he was burned out and aging quickly as he was balancing between both his future business and care of helping other people , and his life was full of young people whom always needed help, and Amar never says no to anyone. I used to argue with him by saying to Amar : Take care of yourself! Not others, you are spreading your energy around and I feel sorry for you that you will be taken advantage of.

Amar replied by saying , that was the concern of his (Amar´s )mother ever since he was a child , he always loved to help others, One day when Amar was 9 years old ,his mother had to go to his school to kindly ask the teachers to make sure Amar did not give his raincoat and jacket to other students, as Amar´s mother had missed 3 of his winter jackets , and Amar would always tell his mother that his friend was feeling cold and had no Jacket to wear, So Amar always gave his jacket to other cold students from poor families , but Amar would always come home shaking in the cold.

Amar always used to say to me, that when he helps others, he feels good inside and gets more energy by doing that. Now I understand his way of feeling and thinking.

By the end of 2010 Amar Decided to leave Dubai and start his life time dream factory in neighboring Qatar….I felt so sad that he left but my wife was pregnant and I had a family that needed my support and was not able to join him in Qatar and help him run the new factory that produced molds and sports mascots.

After the birth of my first son ,Amar showed up with gifts and baby clothes and tears in his eyes , as he held my newly born son and kissed his forehead and little hands and feet , he stayed for a few days and then left again…another year passes by and Amar says to me: Please bring your family and come and live and work with me….so I did …we all lived in a big home in Qatar with many rooms and bathrooms and life was good , the factory was making good income and we were a happy family as, Amar had no other family than my family , The way Amar treated my son was fascinating…he would take him to parks , playgrounds, doctor appointments, and even change his diapers and feed him when my wife and I were busy , sleepy , tired or ill, and mostly he would spent time with my son that was just for fun as it gave Amar great joy being with the child, another son arrived and Amar was overjoyed, as if his own son was born, now Amar had 2 boys, 2 sons to enjoy , the amount of clothes and gifts he was buying for my 2 boys was overwhelming, I did not want Amar to do so much, and I told him this, but he always said, please let me enjoy what I do it makes me happy when the boys are happy, and that I promise , I will not spoil or indulge them too much.

As time went buy I noticed Amar was working really hard in the scorching sun of Qatar, the heat , the sand storms , the stress of work , was so overwhelming that I tried my best to do what I could to ease the pressure on my brother Amar.

Yet the nightmare that was slowly cooking in the future and that will destroy our family´s bond and happiness is yet to unfold without anticipation.

In 2010 the year when Amar arrived to Qatar, there was celebration that Qatar has been awarded the hosting of FIFA 2022 football games.

Yet the world was left with a big question mark, as why would FIFA 2022 games be held in Doha? For many reasons:

Such a big event needs, enough transportation, security, logistics, accommodation, not to mention football is associated with celebration and alcohol consumption and beer drinking, it is a global cultural acceptance and familiarity, so why Qatar where Alcohol is forbidden? And if a foreign guest would hug or kiss his partner in public, that would be a violation to the customs of the land.

Qatar is also renowned for very different social norms and standards which are unfamiliar to western customs and culture. So why Qatar, even LGBT people can be jailed for being gay, so why Qatar?

A new president of FIFA is then elected named GIANNI INFANTINO, and then things seem to quiet down, as the world took no further actions against the bribe accusations against Qatar. Life went back to normal as they say.

And Amar´s factory was growing at the time to become of the most renowned niche production facilities in Qatar and beyond,

In 2015 Qatar was awarded a second large global event, The worlds International Men´s Handball games 2015, and here is where the nightmare begins! Watch what happens.

Qatar knew this was their chance to downplay world skeptics that Qatar was not capable of hosting major world events, and that they have bribed FIFA to win the hosting rights of 2022…so Qatar put all their attention and effort to make the pilot HANDBALL 2015 event a success . Qatar knew that all eyes were watching, the sports world and world citizens and governments were all focused on this important world event and Qatar was very committed to make no mistakes.

The first thing Qatar did was to commission one of the worlds’ most famous Event management companies named David Atkins Enterprises, an Australian based company with a history of managing and hosting giant events. David Atkins was offered hundreds of millions to do the lion share of the handball game event, music, lights, sounds, decoration, entertainment, the list is long!

Qatar knew that this event had to be managed by world event experts and not just a local team, there was no room for mistakes that may cause any embarrassment to Qatar and especially the Emir, the head of the state of Qatar.

David Atkins has designed a very important opening event plan, A young Qatari boy dressed in local Qatar dress will walk a few steps and give the trophy to the Emir and the Emir would greet the young boy shake his hand and place the trophy on the table next to him. This will all be recorded by world media and cameras, As the trophy is the one of the most important and interesting items of any global event, as the world wants to see what the trophy will look like? After the young boy gives the trophy to the Emir, the games would start, and the winning team will be awarded the trophy after the 2-week event finishes.

But a few weeks before opening day of the worlds handball games 2015 …the drama begins…Amar was approached by the management of the handball event in Qatar because Amar has previously made a giant statue of the young Qatari boy whom will give the trophy to the Emir, and a giant handball decoration to be placed at the stadium entrance,,,,, and Amar was known by the handball management team in Qatar whom was organizing the games.

On a very sad day the Handball management team in Qatar approached Amar a few weeks before the opening of the handball games in Qatar, they presented a manager from David Atkins Enterprises to Amar, who requested to speak to Amar in Private!

I was watching Amar´s face from a distance and it looked as if Amar just saw a ghost, I could see he was sweating heavily and had trouble taking a breath, when he returned, I asked him what is going on? You looked worried.

Amar said that he was told that Qatar has a very big problem and if Amar does not solve it, heads would roll, meaning, jail or murder!

It unfolded as follows:

The Man from the David Atkins Management team told Amar that a company in Italy named Bertoni or Betroni has just informed Qatar that the trophy to be filmed on the opening day and awarded at the end of the handball games will not arrive on time to Qatar, as the Italian company was busy with the details of manufacturing the complex trophy and Qatar had changed some details so , they will not be able to meet the date where the trophy must be available and delivered to Qatar.

The manager from David Atkins was also very worried as he was told, if there are any problems of such size that may embarrass Qatar and bring shame and criticism to Qatar, then the consequences are big, and heads will roll…. quoting the man´s words. It was true terror as the world knows Qatar is not a European democracy but rather an autocracy, that punishes people in extremely harsh ways, they are capable of everything, simply because they can. Any one whom has lived in the Arabic gulf knows how extremely violent and aggressive the laws of these countries are! And torture death and jail are a very normal daily event in these countries. Where in the world may a man be murdered by a king or a sheikh and the world only watches? What is the value of human life, integrity and democracy? when people like you and me see this and turn our face away? Look in the mirror and ask yourself who and what are we? What is all the faith GOD, religion, principles and humanity all about??? Be true to yourself. People have given power and value to one man or a few people,whom will kill thousands for his or their personal benefit, and we will allow that! How sick have we become? See this video:

When Amar asked the man from David Atkins : what this delayed trophy problem has to do with him?

He was told you have a few days to make a replica! Of the same delayed trophy ,And it must be identical to the original one designed by the artist and friend of the Qatari royal family , Artist Ahmed Bahrani, It was a very complex trophy as you will see in the photos, it was a detailed human hand showing all the human features, fingernails, veins, wrinkles and all….the hand is holding a ball with precious stones and gold plated.

Amar was told it had to be a replica that the cameras would not depict it as a fake, as this will cause embarrassment to the Emir, of such a rich country giving a fake trophy to a world winning team! It was a catastrophic situation.

Amar could not say no because it was not a request, It was an order! And he could not say yes either because, if he said yes and it was not exactly as wanted, he will also face a horrible punishment! This is a simple fact about these countries that the west does not seem to understand, or they do understand, but do not care until it becomes so extremely suppressive that problems start to affect the whole world and humanity.

Amar was shown the photo of the original design and he fainted, because as an engineer Amar knew that only the rendering process will take many days, not to mention that the factory was busy with other customer demands.

After Amar gathered his energy he was also told that he had to deliver the replica trophy a few days before opening date, as the trophy had to be in quarantine to check for any toxic or harmful material that may affect the Emir by touching it!

The pressure on Amar was tremendous, he built this factory with sweat and blood under the scorching sun of Qatar and with all the money he has made in his career life, and now nothing was guaranteed or certain about his future. Keeping in mind he had one concern in life the young family and little boys who were so extremely attached to Amar. The emotional bond between Amar and my children was phenomenal, he was thinking only of the kids and their future, as he could not see them being deprived of any needs, and Amar always said his only purpose in life was to see the children graduate , get married and have children of their own.

The fears that Amar was now facing are on Terror level, as what can be more frightening then told that heads will roll if you do not do this? Is this not terror? But wait it gets even worse.

Amar was told that money was not a problem and that he will be paid what he demands,

Amar was told to stop all his other customer demands and orders and to attend only to making the Trophy, So he did, he lost hundreds of thousands of euros , as he was forced to return all the money to the clients whom made a previous order and he lost many angry customers also.

But then Amar began to manufacture the Trophy with great stress fear and anxiety …The Qatari or David Atkins side agreed to pay a price for the trophy , but David Atkins was not accurate or straight forward, as they kept changing the demands and details of the trophy while Amar was busy trying to make it….when Amar said this is not what we agreed on??,,,they replied the changes are coming from the Top , so just do as we say…Amar did not sleep for days as he was busy with figuring out how to achieve this back breaking assignment without getting punished…jail, or facing a fabricated accusation that will finish his life forever, as he told me one night with tears in his eyes and shaking tremendously. He knew he was facing a very aggressive entity:

When Amar finished his task , he felt as if he has saved his life , his family´s life and the face of the Emir of Qatar from world embarrassment, he slept for 32 hours after he delivered the trophy on time but was never rewarded as he was promised, and for many other items in which he made.

The demands from the Qatari handball event management changed daily but the payments that were associated with these last minute demands and alterations were never honored by Qatar towards Amar.

The nightmare does not stop here but it gets worse ,,,,After Amar stopped asking for his financial rights that were always ignored , as Amar knew he could not argue with Government especially as he was living in Qatar and with fear, so he went on trying to rejuvenate the factory after all the losses. Every person investing in Qatar must assign a local Qatari sponsor no matter what type of business he or she has.

A few months later Amar´s local sponsor decided to confiscate the entire company business and factory with no reason at all .It was a mystery and , at this time Amar was devastated

Amar was ordered to go straight to the companies registration office , ministry of business and trade licenses department, and denounce the shares and ownership of his factory to a Qatari sponsor, whom was a business partner of the Qatari Royal family.

If Amar refused this order, then he will be banned from leaving Qatar!

Amar drove home and took his passport and some clothes and left his home , furniture, cars and all he owns and fled to Canada fearing for his life and refusing to handover his factory, Amar decided to issue a legal demand for his rights from Europe against this violation and abuse of his basic rights.

He left Canada via London and went to Germany as he learned that the Olympic committee chief of Qatar, and who was responsible for the Handball event 2015, was appointed as the Qatari Ambassador to Berlin, so Amar decided to write to the Ambassador a letter requesting the recognition of Amar´s legal rights and to receive the unpaid bills that were not paid by both private and government entities in Qatar .

In return Amar was threatened by the Lawyer of the Ambassador , and the letter said , if Amar approaches or attempts to contact the embassy any more , then Amar will be sued for defamation and extorsion,…As the Qatari embassy has never engaged in any contract with Amar, Yet the Ambassador of Qatar knew Amar well and what Amar had offered and serviced towards Qatar´s handball 2015 event, How will Amar request his rights if the embassy whom represents Qatar has blocked him out? And how will Amar demand his rights from outside Qatar? knowing if he were in Qatar his fate will be a life prison sentence. YES world these are the norms in countries that are not democracies but very wealthy!

So Amar slips into deep depression, he was broke, homeless, and he was no longer the man that I knew, as I was updated by his mission to seek justice regularly, and I tried to reach him on many occasions but I could not. As by now I was living in London, I knew Amar was heartbroken and living on the streets, in Germany ,he lost everything.

Amar wrote a letter to FIFA president Mr. Gianni Infantino, explaining the whole ordeal, and a reply came back saying :

((we are sorry for the events we cannot do anything, but we will write a letter to Qatar and some one will answer you….We also will assure you that you will not be no attack by any act of revenge , reprisal , or repercussions by Qatar against you or your family))

Amar was shocked to read this, thinking who is FIFA to make such assurances and what agreements have they made with Qatar regarding the silencing of such extreme violations of human rights?

Amar was then attacked a few days later on the highway by 2 men who said if you do not behave, we will visit you again! Amar was left with 2 broken front teeth,

Amar wrote a letter to the ministry of justice and the police of the Netherlands, Amar is a Dutch national and citizen,,,,,The Dutch police replied by saying we have not enough evidence and therefore we cannot help you. The letter Amar wrote to Mr. Ferdinand Grapperhuis ,Dutch Minister of security and justice was never replied to ,and Amar was again left in the dark.

Amar then approached Germany´s most renowned and prestigious media news agency called Der Spiegel, Amar knew that Der Spiegel were investigative journalist and that they will never publish any story without evidence and proof….So over a period of 3 months Amar presented all the supporting Documents that supported his story , and that was a condition from Der Spiegel as they told Amar we will never publish without proof, our name and reputation is our priority & interest.

The story was finally published , All the details are there , every word mentioned is published with facts, Der Spiegel even called Bertoni in Italy before publishing , they even contacted the Ambassador in Berlin as you will read but nothing came back nothing!,,,,,,,,below is a copy that you can read on line under:

Amar´s story ends here as he was once a bright Angel in this world helping everyone he can,, and now he is a broken soul and a victim to an unjust and unfair world, I know he is suffering and I know he is a light of energy, living on the streets,, his last letter to me said :

There is nothing left for me to live for, I miss the boys greatly

I wish to walk barefooted from Germany to the head office of the French National Handball team that won the trophy in 2015, and kindly ask the French team to return the trophy to its rightful owner , as the trophy was not rightfully given to the French team but given based on the suppression and pain of an innocent human , The blood and sweat of Amar Rasheed…. Awarding the Trophy that the French team received from Qatar to Amar will be the best symbol in life, of what sports should truly represent, humanity peace, love and rightfulness and not greed suppression and suffering, as this trophy is indeed a blood trophy. By now Qatar has probably exchanged the fake trophy in which Amar made to save Qatar from embarrassment with the original one from Italy , but this video below shows the clear difference between the trophy Amar made and that was received by the Emir of Qatar, on opening day of the Handball games in Qatar, and the original one held by the French Capitan in Paris….made in Italy by Bertoni. I wonder if the French team will honor Amar by awarding him this Trophy as it is truly a blood Trophy and will be always cursed.

Amar still believes until today that The Emir of Qatar is a noble man with ethics, integrity and principles and that H.H. The Emir of Qatar is not aware of these details that have been kept away from him, to avoid the anger of the Emir towards the managers of the event including his sports and Olympic minister whom is now the Qatari ambassador to Berlin. And hopes one day someone with integrity and care will escalate this tragic event to the Emir directly and save Amar´s future and life.
