The battle against Ulcerative Colitis.

Update posted by Aaron Art Bato On Aug 23, 2018

I'd just like to say thank you to all the people who have supported me and who are still currently supporting me throughout this ordeal, thank so much to all my friends from our Ulcerative Colitis group who are guiding me and helping me out with tips on what to do on certain situations that I can't deal with on my own.

It's been a long time since I started this campaign, I have been trying everything I can in order to alleviate the painful symptoms of this disease, but it always comes down to choosing which pain you want to experience, it never comes down to experiencing any real comfort..

I have also re-tried to take prednisone again, a steroid that supresses the immune system so that it limits the bodies ability to produce antibodies so that my immune system cannot react to anything, including my own bodies defense mechanism, which is the one that causes inflammations, fevers, and other body pains.

I previously stopped it as it had adverse side effects on me such as uncontrollable anger, mood swings, joint pains, and severe rectal bleeding, so I had to stop before I bled to death.

Now I re-tried it, and it's working as it should be, I am gaining weight, getting back my appetite. But the pill is producing the side effects again, good thing this time without the severe rectal bleeding. But as time goes by, the steroid is eating my calcium and I am starting to feel severe joint pains, my knees and ankles are giving way even though I am taking daily calcium dosages and drinking enough soya milk for calcium.

This is my only choice now... Either choose to endure the Ulcerative Colitis symptoms 24/7, or to keep taking prednisone until either the steroids eat all the calcium on my legs and I get crippled.. or I get the proper tests and medications to fix the problem properly and hopefully get to remission..

I am hopeful that there are still people out there who believe in me, and would like to help out with my ordeal..

Please help this genuine young man who is so badly afflicted with Ulcerative Colitis. He’s asking for a hand up not a hand out and $10 from a few of us who can spare it will give him the basic human right of medical treatment that will save his life and the suffering of his parents who have to watch their son slowly die. He needs $600US for a Colonoscopy and the report will help him by showing people how bad his Ulcerative Colitis is and a current report will be used to ask for treatments.
