Campaign Story
Davinci Academy for Science and the Arts has been selected as one of twenty-five schools to represent the United States and perform at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2013 as part of the American High School Theatre Festival (AHSTF)!
The Fringe Festival is the largest and most prestigious arts festival in the World. Participating schools are first ajudicated by Theatre Professionals and selected by nomination. Once nominated, the students must submit numerous short essays outlinng eveidence of achievements and personal philosophies toward theatre in relation to a global community. This year over 2200 Schools were nominated but only 25 were chosen!
In order to participate each student must raise over $6000. During the last few months the students have raised $58,000 and only need to rise $500 more dollars to have their costumes and props sent overseas. Any money over the $500 will be used to help students with the purchasing of meals and show tickets! Thanks for your help!
