I am an American Kenpo Practitioner
As many of you know. I've been taking American Kenpo for quite some time now. Approximately five years to be exact! Along with learning to successfully defend myself and effectively avoid all forms of confrontation, I have made some really amazing friends and have had some memorable life experiences and lessons learned while in the art. I’ve also managed to reach the first pillar of many in this journey of 1st degree black belt. But I plan to go beyond, and I will.
The reality is…
Scraping money together has been much more difficult this time around, with new expenses that have come to light (rent, bills, pet maintenance, etc) the window is starting to become much smaller. With my current Job I thought it would be no problem. However, times have been really slow resulting in hours that have to be cut. I budgeted over, and over again, but still came up short of my goal. So I'm giving this a shot.
What your donation will do!
Raising this money and reaching this goal will definitely cover the costs of my test and certification, and half of my room and board for the time spent at these seminars which have been scheduled to take place the second week of November. For those who actually know how much being a Kenpo practitioner is to me, and has supported me through this endeavor. I'm asking for your help the most in the form of a Ten Dollar Donation.
To wake up every morning after, and see a framed 2nd Degree Black belt certificate on my wall next to my first, would not only mean the world to me. More importantly it will fuel me to climb out of this complacent rut I’ve found myself steadily falling into. And knowing that someone was moved enough to donate to this cause would leave more humble, more so than I’ve ever been.
For those less inclined, I thank you very much for reading. And I wish you all the best on the goals you wish to achieve in your life. Because it can happen and I believe you can make it so.
With that said...
I don’t have much to give in the way of rewards for donations. But what I will do is send everyone who donated. A thank you card, if we make the goal or not. I do want you to know personally how grateful I am to have such giving and supportive people in my life.
But for now, it is with a hopeful heart! That I say thank you and I hope to be adding your name and address to my mailing list!
