I'm going on a volunteer trip to Surin, Thailand in November 2016.
I'll be spending living there for one month to teach the local children English - an opportunity only usually available to children from wealthy families.
Schools in Thailand have a severe lack of funding and therefore can't afford translators, or even school supplies. During my time there, I'll become a translator and helper for those children. Every child has the right to learn, and teaching them English will open new doors in their futures.
Before going I will also be collecting any various school supplies and also taking part in Right-to-Write, a project of fitting up to 200 pens in a ziplock bag and sending them to under-funded schools.
