My Name is Brigette and I am  a HUGE animal lover. I recently came across "LoopAbroad's" program "Veterinary Service" trip to Thailand.  I am currently a senior at Whippany Park high school in New Jersey, and I will be attending Becker College in Massachusetts, in the fall.  I plan on majoring in veterinary Tecnology with the plans of following through to become a vet. I have been in love with animals for as long as I can remember. After learning about the devastating number of shelters animals killed each day, I made it my life goal to help and rescue animals, so I began to foster and volunteer for Purrs N’ Pups Animal Rescue in New Jersey, and have not looked back since. Volunteering has deepened my passion devotion to rescue and my love for animals.
This program will be an incredible way for me to jumpstart my career and education in the veterinary field. However, It will be impossible to prusue without the help of donations to help me fund my trip.  (All of the proccueds will go directrly to my trip. )
On my trip to Thailand, we'll be working with the Elephant Nature Park sanctuary. Their mission is to rescue elephants from inhumane trekking operations and illegal logging in Berma. They are incredibly well respected in the world of conservation and are basically the standard for elephant conservation in Asia.  I will also be spending a week with the DOG Rescue. With the help of the vet I will learn how to assist surgeries, and provide proper care and preventive care to the dogs who need it most.
The tuition of the trip is $3,700 with the additional cost of about $3,000 for airfair, food and accommodations. (http://loopabroad.com/content/veterinary-service)
Loop Abroad's mission is to look at conservation and ecology in Thailand through the lens of the Plight of the Asian Elephant. We will work exclusively with the elephant nature part to this end. The veterinary service program is designed to offer students the experience of working side-by-side with a veterinarian caring for elephants and dogs in Thailand.
****Please Help Me Gain the Experience of a Lifetime, and Get a JUMP start to my education, and Career in the Vet feild.  After my trip and becoming certified to practice medicine on animals, I will countuine to give back to the animal rescue world not only by fostering, volunteering, educating and rescueing, but also by helping provide low cost medical care for shelters and rescues. ****
