Campaign Story
Aleeyah Amanda Ali is President & Co Founder at The Foundation for Heritage Preservation & Legacy Creation in Trinidad & Tobago. She is a Roedean School alumnus and has been supporting people in need in here area with food hampers. I knew Amanda at school and know what a generous, soulful woman she is and am setting up this fundraiser to support her efforts as she is working hard already.
This is from a Facebook appeal that Amanda posted in recent days.
"We are overwhelmed by inbox messages of people who need food support...
Our foundations network of supporters and members are mostly self employed people who are hard hit at this time as well. We have no formal funding or sponsorship at this time...
We are unable to monetize the properties with either visitors or workshops basically we are unable to carry out other for profit activities to fund our not for profit work...
Anybody willing to help we would be very happy to receive donations in cash or kind to fund this food support we are supplying as much as we can fron our gardens but it does not cover everything or enough to help as many people who really need the food support...
We can collect or arrange drop off points Islandwide...
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and generosity...
Please help us to help others...

Please help us we are overwhelmed with requests for food like never before...Families are going hungry, their pets are going hungry... please help us..."
I hope you can offer some support to Aleeyah and the community she supports at this difficult time.

An update from Amanda: "5 more hampers ready for delivery today in addition to 5 more hampers organized for Tobago! This was only possible thanks to my lovely school mate Sarah Dixon who so generously organized a gogetfunding campaign in the UK into which several of my Roedean School alum have contributed. Additionally our Gogetfunding Campaign has covered the completion of 17 hampers which required 6 items each 2 weeks ago. We are still getting requests for food support on an ongoing basis... Yesterday we had emergency work in the yard with the high winds we needed to trim some trees. On Friday we delivered 12 hampers, 2 in Central 10 for Natasha Lee to distribute Couva/ California area etc, 7 Over the past week in Santa Cruz and Port of Spain..."
