Tour de Frontline

Another success bagged in form of 2021 Tour de Frontline Reloaded!!!

The team is forging ahead with plans for Tour de Frontline 2022 (Tdf 2022), which will take place from the 18th to the 21st of March 2022.

The aim of the campaign is to raise 1 Million for charities that align with the core values of the Tour de Frontline.

Tdf 2022 aims to impact lives in other cities of South Africa and neighbouring countries. The cities are Gqeberha, East London, Polokwane, Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Mbabane, Maseru and Gaborone.

Each city will be represented during the tour and the total mileage for the main event in Johannesburg is aimed at 650km over 4 days.

The previous event benefitted in excess of 1065 vulnerable lives and further showcased the talent from previously disadvantaged areas.

Tour de Frontline supports five great initiatives where the focus lies essentially on the development of the individual.

The first initiative, Thalitha Children’s Trust Fund, provides care for abandoned infants to grow up surrounded by love and affection.

The second cause is of a netball club in Katlehong that is supported by Ntsika Afrika. K1 Phoenix Netball Club needs assistance in basic training equipment as well as the revamping of the netball court. The club comprises of 50 girls ranging from ages 5 up to 21.

One on one is the third cause that reaches out to children from South Africa’s nine provinces, especially those from rural areas. Its focal point is on education, training as well as research and development in the areas of science, technology, engineering arts and sciences.

Another initiative is Central Gauteng Mental Health. It is an institute in Gauteng which provides social and statutory work services to children and adults with mental and intellectual disabilities. The institute has an in-patients' programme, catering for the needs of 98 adults with psycho-social disabilities as well as an out-patients' programme which supports child protective services, family reunification, foster-care programmes, COVID 19 and gender based violence.

Finally, Tour de Frontline also seeks to support Bula Mahlo, an organisation that takes care of orphaned, abandoned and neglected children. Currently, Bula Mahlo cares for 50 children who are full-time based and another 20 children who come on a daily basis. The organisation helps restore lost hope and create an all-round awareness in abuse as a subject matter.
