Campaign Story
Hi there! We are two engineering students at the University of Maryland who want to make an autonomous quad-copter that looks like our university mascot, The Testudo. If everything goes as planned we would fly the end product on Maryland Day. Maryland day is the University of Maryland’s annual open house which is open to everyone. It’s a family-friendly event with 400 interactive exhibits, workshops and live performances by university of Maryland students and faculty members. This year it's on April 27th, 2013. The money will be used to purchase parts for the quad-copter which includes the frame, motors, batteries, blades, etc. We will then use any excess funds to have an on-board camera that will take pictures and stream live video. At the end of the project we will make a video about our project and what learned from it GO TERPS!!!
Rewards
The flying testudo's shell will contain your name and picture!
