Our terminally ill mother has suffered through many cranial operations due to having a brain tumour. One of those operations leaving her paralysed and dependant for everyday needs. She has also undergone radiation therapy sessions. And is now wheel chair bound and has been for the past 6 years. My father cares for her full time. They have tried many times for adequate housing for living. As well as tried for grants to get them a mobility home to no avail. They currently share a two story two bedroom home with bathroom facilities upstairs that mother can not access and an accessible hoist in home was declined. My Father washes her in the kitchen with buckets on a daily or takes her to their local aquatic center sometimes. Her toilet needs are done in a comode and her Hospital bed and medical resources fill the lounge. These houses are tiny. They have waited years for a decent home to pop up to no avail.

They make regular hospital visits and do not have an adequate vehicle to fit my mother's needs. So her trips are very uncomfortable. She has fought all odds and continues to do so.. At the very least she deserves to live in respect and as comfortable and stress free as possible.

A more adequate living home or mobility home and a more adequate transport vehicle. Surplus will be used towards ongoing medical costs.
