我的父親被診斷患上腎癌第4期。

自4月以來體重不斷下降，亦有食欲不振、乏力的情況。

由於腫瘤的大小和滲透情況被判斷為不適合以手術切除，醫生建議使用免疫治療，透過患者自身細胞去殺滅癌細胞。

父親於9 月2 日開始接受免疫治療，所有藥物皆為自費藥物。

治療費用:

IPILIMUMAB 伊匹木單抗; HKD 46,460

NIVOLUMAB 納武單抗; HKD 17,460

起初為三星期一次,一共需要四次 (46,460+17,460)*4 = HKD 255,680

(NIVOLUMAB 納武單抗: 此藥得到 李嘉誠基金會 資助4針, 每次上限 HKD 17000, 總數上限 HKD 70000)

其後單服用NIVOLUMAB 納武單抗

每兩星期一次HKD 17,460

另外,每兩個月需要進行一次定期PET掃瞄 HKD 10,000

預計一年所需醫療費用約為 HKD 1,000,000, 而保險亦只能支付大約20%的費用。

現時父親需要長期留在家中休養，只有母親作為家庭單一收入來源，

額外的醫療開支使得經濟壓力非常沉重。

My father has been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer (Stage IV), and is experiencing weight loss, loss in appetite and strength.

Our doctor advised him to undergo immunotherapy, which is to kill cancer cells by the patient’s immune system, due to the size of the tumor and the level of involvement of lymph node are not suitable for surgery.

The treatment has started on 2^nd September, and we need to pay all the medical expenses by ourselves, including:

IPILIMUMAB; HKD 46,460

NIVOLUMAB; HKD 17,460

Each has a cycle of 21-days, and it has to be done for 4 times. (46,460+17,460)*4 = HKD 255,680

(NIVOLUMAB : 4 portions will be supported by the Li Ka Shing Foundation, with a maximum of HKD 17000 per portion and HKD 70000 in total.)

Afterwards he will be treated with NIVOLUMAB only, with a cycle of 14-days HKD 17,460.

In addition, there has to be a PET scan on a regular basis for every two months, and each scan costs HKD 10,000.

The expected medical cost for 1 year is HKD 1,000,000, while only around 20% of the fee could be covered by medical insurance.

My family is having a huge economic pressure because of additional medical expenses, and my mother is now the only source of income for our family. Therefore, we are here to sincerely ask for your help to save my father’s life.
