Teomner is a very responsible husband. He always makes sure that needs are provided everyday. He works hard and has a lot of goals. He has big dreams for our family. It was one of things I’ve always admired about him. He loves to sing and is very talented in playing piano. Together we take care of our little family of which he loves to spoil our daughter and makes sure that he can give anything to her. We’re a simple happy family.

It was a night last October 2018, when he was in so much pain with his shoulder blade and his right back side. He was sleepless after yet insisted to still go to work the next day. Few hours later he came back and asked that we go at the ER at the hospital.

After all the diagnostics and pain relievers, the doctors told us he has a liver abcess, which could be treated with antibiotics. I was worried that it would be something worse, so that was a sigh of relief. Things took a different turn when he was put again in another ultrasound. The imaging showed a large tumor in his liver. It was then we found out that he has primary HCC (Liver Cancer). A lot of questions were asked. We were confused! After all that’s been said and done we were referred treatment at the Chinese General Hospital.

From that point on, I saw how slowly he changed. He was worried about our family more than ever. He became pessimistic. We were not ready for any of this. We prayed harder together but there are times I’ll see him secretly crying and it pains me. I've made up my mind that I will be positive in all of this and that we will fight this together. I will never let him be taken away from me.

On November 2018, he was supposed to undergo right liver resection. But due to the size of the tumor it was not possible for the volume of liver left after resection to function. He underwent TACE (Transarterial chemoembolization) instead, to cut off supply of blood to the tumor. Chemo-drug was also injected to prevent it from growing. It was too much for him. He eyes shrunk, he withered and was constantly in pain. He lost his appetite and would only eat too little. He was very weak and needs to stay in bed most of the time. Still, he talks about how he needs to work to provide for us. Slowly on December 2018 he started regaining strength and started to work again. Little sparks of happiness started appearing in his eyes again. Life was coming back to him.

January 2019 was when we were advised to completely burn of the tumor. The previous TACE shrunk the tumor and our hepatologist deemed ablation necessary. He underwent RFA (Radiofrequency Ablation) that month. The tumor was completely burned and was followed up with test and imaging on February 2019.

Follow up gave us good news. Cancer cells were burned off and there is no sign of recurrence. We were being happy again. He has lost so much weight but now was more energetic. He was talking about plans for the future and his dreams again. It was joy seeing him again like that. We continued on our prayers for complete healing and we felt that is was being given to us.

May 16 2019 was his follow up check up.It was a sad day. Imaging showed PVTT (Portal vein tumor thrombosis). Our hepatologist said this is an advancement of the cancer. He told us it was a definite marker for worse prognosis. We asked for any treatment option viable for his case but sadly most are not effective. But liver resection was a viable option again. His left liver lobe inreased in size due to TACE and will be enough to sustain the function after surgery. We were advised to meet with the cancer surgeon.

Teomner will undergo right hepatic resection on June 13 2019. It is another chance given to us to continue to fight back with cancer.Friends and love ones have helped us so much along the way with prayers and financial support. The surgery is very expensive and all our savings are exhausted. We humbly ask for any kind of support. I ask for your support. Our prayers continue. My prayers still continue. I made it a point that I will never give up on him. Please help him dream again for the future.

Any help is a better chance at life:
