Tempest is a content rating website were registered members submit their original art(e.g. - clothing, music, accessories etc.)piece to the site which is then voted up by other users.
Every two weeks also knows as "seasons" the user with the most rated piece of clothing, song, furniture, etc will be contacted so we can learn more about how the product will be made and delivered. After that, 2 - 4 weeks later (depending on the product) the product will be available for purchase on our web store. The profit will be divided between the artist and us.
Example how tempest works with physical products: User posts an original clothing piece and her post become one of the most upvoted posts for the next two weeks. She gets contacted by us where we will discuss what material to use, what price etc. After deciding everything, the product will be made and made available for purchase on our website.
Example how tempest works with non-physical products: User posts his song, and it becomes one of the most upvoted posts. He gets contacted by us where we discuss what he needs. E.g.- A music video or a new beat. The final product will be on our website or the channel of the artist.
You can look at the tempest gallery for more info, eg layouts, settings and examples on how to post.
This campaign is important for us because it will help a lot of future designers since we will give them unique tools and it now would be easier for young people to make money with their unique ideas ( a thing that our team used to struggle with ). We are a team of six, which consist of someone who used to be a clothing designer and seller, a clothing seller and a young girl who just finished her art studies. This is our first crowdfunding project, but we still have done things related to clothing, and we all have experience in this industry.
The campaign is vital to us because all of us used to do something related to clothing and we want to bring back our inner passion with a great project.
This project can shape the future of the clothing industry and how designers find work (since they will get a cut from all the profit made) and things like school degrees or years experience can slowly become irrelevant with tempest.
