#teamkatie is a group of supporters and followers that have followed and are currently following Katie (aged 11) and her family through her journey fighting an inoperable brain tumour. Katie has already received Proton Treatment earlier this year at PROCURE, Oklahoma, America, to try to shrink the tumour.. Unfortunately we are unaware as of yet whether the treatment has been effective.

Katie was born with a Benign brain tumour , which became malignant in 2013. Since then Katie and her family have struggled to live a normal life. Local schools that Katie has attended have tried to support Katie throughout her education but unfortunately Katie hasn't been well enough to attend since arriving back from The treatment. Whilst looking after her daughter, son, house and animals, Marie McGann (a very dear friend) has struggled with the news, having to give up working for the NHS to look after Katie, move home and unfortunately the government are not supporting Marie with appropriate financial help.

Therefore I have taken it upon myself to help Katie and her family. The money raised will be to support the family day to day, including keeping a secure roof over their heads, private intuition for Katie so she doesn't miss her vital education, luxuries that we take for granted such as mobile phones, swimming, days out that Marie cannot afford to do with her children and Christmas that is coming up quick and fast. Transport to and from hospital appointments and overall a better life for this loving, amazing, inspirational little family that deserves better.
