I have a happy, not so healthy, 8 year old little boy, who I would love to keep at home as long as possible. In order to do that I am looking to raise money to make my home "safe" for him. He has been diagnosed with Landau-Kleffner syndrome, which is a brain disorder that in a nutshell, basically never lets his brain sleep. In additon, he has epilepsy, and has recently been diagnosed autistic. As you can imagine, that makes life a little bit different for him. He's a little bit tired all the time, which makes him a little bit unstable on his feet. My goal is to be able to make my home "friendly" for him. I'd like to be able to basically create a padded floor/playground for him, where he could freely play, but not hurt himself in the process. He also LOVES to swim. I would ultamately like to get him some type of pool to be able to play in on a regular basis as well. Water is the most calming thing in the world to him.
