About Team Pru

In December 2011, Lt. Prunella Ellwood was driving back to her barracks in North Luffenham, near Peterborough, when she was involved in a terrible car accident on the A1. The accident caused severe brain damage and has left her in a low responsive state, requiring constant medical care. Her family hope to start being able to bring her home for short visits, but before they can, need to adapt their home and purchase specialist equipment to cater for Pru's needs. Any money raised will help to make this hope a reality.

How We're Currently Raising Funds

Mark Butler ran the Destination Basingstoke Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October 2014, Mark completed the run in 1:54:36.

On Sunday 26th October 2014, Jenny Lewis nee Thompson, a former student of Welbeck Defence 6th Form College, as was Pru, ran the Great South Run. The G.S.R was also ran by Pru's cousin Emma Jenkins and Emma's friend Beth Link.

Their times were, Jenny Lewis 9865: 01:56:59, Emma Jenkins 24824: 01:41:24 and Beth Link 14809: 01:41:25. These young ladies have done a superb job, and we're proud to have had their support.

We have a collection bucket in place at Toys r Us in Plymouth.

Lee Hailstone and Mark Butler ran the Reading Half Marathon on the 22nd March 2015.

Melanie Jansen is walking the Thames Path Challenge on the 12-13th September 2015. A 100km event, alongside the River Thames.

Dave Bowers is running a Tough Mudder event in Winchester on Saturday 26th September 2015.
