Team Kendal

Kendal is my beautiful, youngest neice, and she and my family need your help. Kendal is a very special 10 year old girl. She is the the youngest of the four children. The oldest being 16 years old. She has a smile so contagious that it lights up the room. Kendal is a cheerleader and plays softball in her town. When she's not in school or participating in sports, she enjoys doing arts and crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. Kendal has one of the biggest hearts of any child I know. She likes to give hugs and cuddle with her family and stuffed animals. Kendal had been complaining of severe hip pain. When her mother took her to the hospital, they did a CT Scan and found a large mass on her hip. The next day, they did a biopsy and thats when we found out that Kendal has Rhabdomyosarcoma. This is a rare form of cancer and has to be treated with Chemotherapy. Kendal is a stage 3 and has a long road ahead of her.   Kendal is having to go through two different types of chemotherapy and has to spend a lot of time in the hospital. Every two weeks, she has to be in the hospital for 5 days to complete a round of chemo. Being that Kendal is a very active 10 year old, she is having a hard time dealing with this diagnosis. She is aware that is going to be sick and lose all her hair, but she is still prepared to stay strong and fight. Due to this tragic event, her father is taking on more hours at work, trying to make ends meet and pay the rent. Kendal's mom had to stop working so she could be by her side. This is going to be a very long road for the entire family. This family only has one car; so while my brother has to take the car to work, he still has 3 other children that need to get to school and thier sports and after school activities. He has become the sole provider for these children while my sister-in-law is in the hospital with Kendal.  Thank god they have wonderful friends to help out with rides for now. I am trying to raise enough money to help out with bills, and possible by a beat up, used car for my 16yr old neice. If she had a car, she could help out with driving her siblings to school and after school activities. Please open up your hearts and wallets for this very deserving family. They are always the first people to help out when needed. They dont even have to know you, if you needed help, they would be there. Lets pull together as a community and help each other out.
