WHY? Team Katy was formed when my partner Kate was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's about three years ago and to date has raised just under £2000.00 for The Alzheimer's Society. We are to depart soon on another fundraising trip that will last several months, it is going ahead now whilst Kate is still able. We sold our house to enable us to go but the sale didn't go as hoped and left her with a shortfall, but if we don't go as planned we both doubt she will be able to go in the future. HOW? The trip is to the four corners of the British Isles by motorbike and sidecar. All our costs are going to be met by ourselves as we no longer have a mortgage to pay. All money collected en-route will be given straight to the charity, for which we have official fundraising status. We also have a Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/Michael-Payne1 and progress can be followed on our facebook page 'Team Katy'. PLEASE. Any help that can be given will make the running costs of the venture much more affordable to us and help us help The Alzheimer's Society. Thank You.

Update posted by Michael Payne at 09:52 amThings have not quite gone to plan. I've ended up in A&E on Arran and we were stuck on the island for an extra day, unfortunately both of these have meant we have had to stay in a B&B and hotel for two nights instead of camping. Nice though this. . . . .
