Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my FundRaising page. Some of you may already know but for those of you who don't here is the plan: In June 2015, for 4 weeks I will be going to Sri-Lanka alongside my younger sister to teach English in a school. Whilst we are there we will also be doing some work with some of the local orphanages! This is a volunteering opportunity through an organisation called 'Plan My Gap Year'.
This is a fantastic opportunity as I have always loved working with young people and have been privelledged to work with young people during the last 6 months. As I have just graduated from Middlesex Univeristy with a BSc in Psychology, I guess this is one of the first steps for me in terms of travelling and teaching.
Where do you come into this? As this is a volunteering project, it has to be fully funded by us. Therefore, if anyone would like to support me by donating as little as £1, I would be truley grateful! The money that I raise will go towards the scheme itself, flights, accomodation, food, insurance, my visa etc.
Whilst I am out there, I will make sure I start a daily blog so that anyone who is interested in following my journey can read and view pictures of my experiences. Anyone who would like to know more about what their money will contribute to, you can email me at : [email protected]
