Campaign Story
Hi, my name is Sophie and I am a Psychology student at Queen's University Belfast. I have the opportunity of volunteering in Nepal for 2 weeks in June 2018. Here I will be helping to provide children with education through teaming up with 'Plan My Gap Year'. I am hoping to raise £1000 to help me make a difference to the lives of the children there.
Unfortunately, the standard of education is extremely low in Nepal. Most education in Nepal is severely underfunded, resulting in 41% of the Nepalese adult population being illiterate. The ability to learn and speak English allows young people to increase the amount of job opportunities available to them in later life. The provision of care and education to these children will be extremely beneficial and will hopefully change their lives for the better.
I am really excited to be able to take part in this life changing opportunity. I appreciate any donations that you are able to give! Thank you.
