Teaching English in Nepal

Hi everyone! In three short weeks, I am heading over to Nepal to teach English in a remote village out of Pokhara for 6 weeks. I will be living with a local family and teaching in the local Shree Shivalaya Primary School.

I am raising money to be able to supply the Nepalese children that I will be teaching with vital educational resources. At present, the primary school only has a basic blackboard and benches and desks in the classroom. All money raised will go towards key items such as educational posters, picture story books, flashcards, coloured pencils and pens and whiteboards. Whilst these seem like basic items necessary for a learning environment, these children continuously go without, thus your contribution will make a significant difference in their quality of learning.

As I will be staying in the local village with a family, contributions will also go towards helping fellow village members with costs such as food and clothing over the cold Himilayan winter months through which I will be staying. Any donation, big or small, will go a long way towards helping this community to enjoy a better standard of living that we all currently enjoy.
