My name is Golda Peter Orega, I am working as a pediatric nurse in Tansania, and I am reaching out to seek help for my father who is struggeling for life because of a severe Pneumonia caused by COVID-19. Two Weeks ago he got sick with high blood sugar and difficulties breathing. Soon after beeing admitted to the hospital his condition changed and worsened so the doctors needed to put him in an articial coma to keep him on a ventilator. Now he is struggeling to survive. Each day spent in the hospital the bill, we are supposed to pay, is rising and we have absolut no possibility of paying the ongoing expenses that are needed to continue his treatment.

The COVID-19 Pandemic affects families and loved ones worldwide. But beeing born in East-Africa with mostly no access to sufficient medical treatment and no sufficient backup through health-insurance you are either left with no treatment at all or if you seek help in the private hospitals they charge by day and treatment done and stop treatment if you are not able to cover the ongoing expenses.
Beeing left with such a huge financial burden our family is threatened to be thrown out on the streets with nothing at all. It gives me sleepless nights to see my mom cry and knowing that if we cannot succeed to pay the costs, they will stop his treatment, and I might be left without a father, my mother will be left without a husband and my child will loose his grandfather.

Before COVID my father was leading a very much acknowledged live, posted as a young vibrant and committed teacher to Kilgoris Secondary School in 1974 where he taught and served until 1985 when he was transferred to Sosio Secondary School as a head teacher where he worked for another ten years. He was later transferred to Nakuru where he relentlessly worked as a head teacher at Flamingo Sec. School and finally honourably retired. So far god had blessed him with a healthy life until two weeks ago when Suddenly his condition changed and he was rushed to Aghakhan hospital at Kisumu, Kenia, for treatment.

The hospital bill is increasing day by day and so far we have paid almost 2000 USD so far by the help of relatives and friends but the remaining costs is 7000 USD to continue his treatment. We are seeking help and hoping to find some support here, as our family is currently not able to cover any more of the final bill.

Please help us to bring my father back on to his two feet and help him survive and fight COVID-19. His family needs and misses him so much.

Fortunately we managed to pay some more cash now we have a deficit of 2000 USD. Kindly help us raise the remaining amount.

Asante Sana - Be blessed for your kind support!
