Teacher Sheena’s Fight Against Cancer

"Cancer may have started the fight, but I will finish it."

It has been over a month since Teacher Sheena was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer.

About a year ago, Teacher Sheena was sent to Tokyo, Japan to work as an ESL teacher. She has been one of the best-performing teachers that earned her the ticket to come and work abroad.

In a short period, she had shown her passion as a teacher and had worked excellently with her co-workers. She also could work independently and always had the initiative.

Moreover, she dreams of providing the best life for her family. And with this, she had endured being away from them for about a year. She fought home-sickness and withstood challenges along the way.

However, on December 16, 2019, she was admitted to The Cancer Institute Hospital in Tokyo. After weeks of losing her appetite, vomiting and chronic stomach pain, she was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer.

Currently, she's confined at the Siliman University Medical Center (Room 373) in Dumaguete City, Philippines.

It is an ongoing battle for her and her family. Each day is a victory against cancer, but at the same time bills and daily expenses have proved to be tough for Sheena and her family.

As of today, January 10, 2020, her current hospital bill amounts to
Php 73, 000 (JPY 160,000).

With this, we are asking for any financial help that can help cover her medical bill as well as future expenses for her ongoing treatment as we hope for complete healing.
