Teacher Madel’s fight Against Liver Cancer

We are reaching out to you for prayers, support and financial help. Please join our family's battle against our Mother's Stage 4 Liver Cancer.

Our Mother is 58 years old. She had spent 25 years of her life teaching highschool. She used to teach Chemistry, Physics, English and even Math back then. She retired several years back, though technically she didn't stop teaching 'til last year. She had tutees then and do it as a part time job. Her tutees eventually finished junior highschool and she was laid off since then.

Just a week ago, Doctors found masses around our Mother's liver which have spread thru her ribs and pelvic area. She was advised to take 4 Chemo oral tablets everyday for the next 40 days. And each tablet costs P2500 ($50 each) or P10000 ($200/day). There are several more daily medication which would burn a hole in our pockets.

Her Radiology Intervention doctor gave us an option for her to undergo TACE(Transarterial Chemo Embolization) which localizes the treatment in one part of the body but each session would cost us a fortune.. P320thou (US $6400) with 6 mos. intervals.

Systemic Chemo on the other hand is the conventional way tht kills cancer cells and spreads out treatment even to the healthy parts of the body, hence weakens the patient.

The 5 of us(siblings) are still discussing the most feasible option. But right now we are in great need of your help. Our individual earnings will not suffice, but with you as an instrument and the mercy of God Almighty anything is possible.
