My name is Elisheba which means "God is an oath". I will begin here on 12-26-06 I was crossing the street to catch the bus to go home from the library that I had just finished using the internet. My internet at home was down on my computer and I asked my sister to drive me to the library and she suggested that I catch the bus and that is exactly what I did however, a car hit me and it was being driven by a drunk driver and not only did he hit me but he also dragged me 3-4 streets over and left me there for dead. I woke up 4-6 months later from a coma and could not remember a thing like who I was or who my sister was. I am so glad that my sister was there when I woke up because she was able to tell the doctors who I was and what happend. My diagnosis is called TBI - traumatic brain injury. They had shaved all my hair off and I could not walk, eat, use the restroom, take showers or do a thing without assistance. Come to find out that the same drunk driver who hit me also hit and killed a 3 year old female and injured another elderly woman and the police had arrested him and he is still doing time for what he did to us. I now live in a Accessible Space housing, which houses TBI patients and our rent is a lot lower than normal rent because we all have been approve to get disability payments from the IRS. I want to raise money to help any or everyone with TBI. Please help me help others!
