Taylor’s Recovery Fund

Hey there, thank you so much for taking the time to visit this site. On May 2nd of this year, my boyfriend Taylor and I were involved in a severe car accident less than a mile away from our home. Thankfully, we both had our seat belts on, or it would have been much worse. I walked out of the accident with just a few sprains, bumps and bruises but Taylor wasn't so lucky.In fact, the accident was nearly fatal for him. When he arrived in the emergency room, he was rushed to surgery and the surgeons said that there was a 50% chance he wasn't going to make it through the surgery. He sustained multiple facial and skull fractures, brain bleeding, hemoraging and major swelling, breaks and fractures in his neck and other minor injuries. He went through multiple emergency blood transfusions, neck surgery, brain surgery and multiple respiratory procedures (as he was having issues breathing). He spent two weeks in Intensive care and is now in a regular recovery room where he is now going through physical therapy where he will learn to walk again and balance his body. As soon as he's more independent he be admitted into a rehabilitation facility here on the hospital premises. He is looking forward to recovery, but knows that he has a long road ahead of him. On top of all of the stress and pain he is feeling due to the accident, he is facing extensive medical bills from the hospital due to his long term care that has been provided. Since he has no health insurance of any sort, I am taking this upon myself to start a benefit account on his behalf, to ease some of the stress and problems this may cause him post- recovery.

If you live in Tampa, we ARE working with many local businesses and are doing multiple charity/fundraising events on his behalf. Car washes, formal dinners, 5k marathons, comedy shows, etc. All in which Taylor will recieve some or all of the proceeds. Taylor is a wonderful guy, who has always been there for his family and friends. Now it is time for us to be there for him. Even if you don't know Taylor personally, i'm sure you could speak to some one who does, and they would tell you exactly what I've said. He is the last person this should have happened to, however, God gave him a second chance at life and now is a great time to help someone in need!
