Hi. I'm Chinonso, a recently unemployed teacher who is looking to start up a business of my own.

Up until a couple of months ago I used to teach math at a Federal Government Secondary School(high school). And in these last few months I've experienced something I had always known-unemployment is not a good place to be. Especially when your job was your only source of income. I've had more than enough time to reflect and I decided that I'd like to start up something of my own, no matter how small, to be able to support myself financially.

What I have in mind is to start up a taxi service...with a fleet of one. A minivan(clean, fairly used) to be specific. I will also hire a driver who will use the vehicle to ply any route of his choice in my city and bring me a fixed daily return. Who knows, I could also increase my fleet size depending on how well and how fast the business grows. I've tried to take out a loan for this purpose but I found out real quick that financial institution(especially banks) are not too happy to loan money to someone whom they do not see as 'credit worthy'(i.e unemployed). So I'm asking for your help to facilitate this project while I try to raise what I can offline.

The start up cost after considering the price of purchase of vehicle and insurance, fitting with a motor tracking device plus any other unforeseen expenses comes up to N1,320,000($6600/£4200) . I refused to put a minimum donation on this campaign because I believe that any amount I receive can help. I'll be grateful for any help I can get on this platform. My name is Chinonso Samuelson. I'm from Nigeria. I obtained a Bachelors degree(B.Eng) in Civil Engineering back in 2012. I plan on going in for my masters program in 2016 or 2017 at the most. I have an interest in the transportation industry and I'm fascinated with the world of I'm and how it has facilitated problem solving to a very great extent in this 21st century. I'll to really make my mark in the aforementioned sectors. But I realise of course I've got to start small. Slow and steady they say wins the race
