Tatay’s Hospital Bill

We created this for Tatay our Grand father. It’s already been very hard for him to cope on a daily basis since Nanay (his wife) passed away last July thus putting an end to their happy 60-year marriage. Since then his health started to deteriorate; headaches, fatigue, loss of sleep, and anxiety all lead to the weakening of his immune system. When he was brought to the doctor for consultation, a pulmonary xray was requested and he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Two days ago, he experienced vomiting accompanied by severe headache and dizziness. We brought him to the hospital and found out that he was dehydrated and that his blood sugar was really high (215). He was treated to lower down his blood sugar and was infused with iv fluids. We requested a rapid COVID-19 test because he was diagnosed with pneumonia and the results came out that he was IG-M positive. The doctors insisted that he should be transferred to a different hospital because their hospital policy states that they are not allowed to admit IG-M positive patients. We failed to get him to another hospital because all isolation rooms are full (total of 8 hospitals) and we decided to just go home for him to be able to rest. Unfortunately he was still experiencing the same symptoms and was only rushed to the only available hospital on the latter part of the day because our aunt’s husband was still at work. He is currently admitted in San Isidro Hospital At Angono, Rizal and was able to have a COVID-19 swab test done.
