I have been lucky enough to be selected for the Australian Floorball Team for the 2013 World Floorball Championships to be help in Czech Republic.
I have previously represented Australia at the 2005, 2007 and 2009 World championships but this is my first tournament back after having my son, Oskar. This 26 day tour will be the longest I have ever spent away from him.
Floorball is an innovative sport that is quickly spreading across the world. It's a fast paced indoor sport that blends the greatest elements of ice hockey with features of soccer and basketball. For more information visit here.
This will be my final tour (no John Farnham comebacks!). My husband Pete played his final tour in 2010 with the Men's team. I'll be damned if I don't beat him!
As a member of the Australian team everything is self funded, from flights and accommodation to equipment and uniforms. Each tour can cost up to $6000 per team member. You can imagine that with a young family, this is something of a stretch!
I'd be so grateful for any assistance you can provide so I can represent Australia one last time.
Lots of Love,
