Tara’s World Championship campaign

Hi, My name is Tara Meyer. I have been lucky enough to be selected for the Australian Floorball Team for the 2017 Womens World Floorball Championships to be held in Bratislava, Slovakia. This WFC will be my 6th Championships, having represented Australia in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and now 2017.

You may ask...What is Floorball? Floorball is a type of indoor floor hockey and is commonly described as a cross between indoor hockey and ice hockey, yet it blends the greatest elements of ice hockey with features of soccer and basketball.

Although it is quite popular in most European countries, it is still a relatively new sport to Australia. Unfortunately since Floorball is not commonly known about in Australia, all trips are SELF-FUNDED by the selected players. The cost of such a trip is approximately $4000 per player, not including flights and spending money!

The contributions that you makes will go directly towards my individual national team costs and airfares. To try and reduce this individual cost, I am dedicated to fundraising as much as possible. This is where I need your help...
