Recently i spent 4 weeks woking in a physiotherapy department at Muhimbili Hospital in Dar es salaam. The department was very dated and lacked in lost of simple equipment such as handling belts, theraband and sanitising wipes. Though the physiotherapists had the knowledge and the skills, the lack of equipment made it very difficult to be able to treat the patients in the best possible ways. As well as equipment there was also a lack of recent and up to date books to help the physios process and enhance their treatments and knowledge. Many of the physiotherapists also were starting to suffer from back pain due to the fact they had no lifting equipment and would pick the patients up themselves.

The aim of my fundraising is to raise some money to help me buy equipment that i will donate to the physiotherapy department at the Muhimbili Hospital in Dar, to help them advance their skills and to enhance their treatments.

I would be very grateful for any donations to my cause and I hope that I can make a difference to the people living in Tanzania.
