Tank Rescue

My wife and I recently rescued an english bulldog named Tank. He has quickly become part of our family and we love him a lot. However his previous home had neglected him physically, medically, and emotionally. He was kept in a garage the for almost 2 years with little attention and no real vetrinary visits. Once we got him we rehabilitated him into trusting people, being obedient, and sought out vetrinary attention. He was given up to date shots and oral medicen but diagnosed with heartworms. They are telling us the treatment will be in three parts, once per month of 250-300 dollars per treatment. We sadly can not afford this after getting him neutered and all his other expenses but do not want to give up on him or get rid of him.  If anyone could help we would greatly appretiate it.
