Campaign Story
JMS is an organisation that helps villages in Lombok Indonesia. I am volunteering here for one year. They support and encourage villages (Desa) to be involved in decisions and take action in the governing of village life.
Imagine if your local government area didn't have accurate records. Imagine if they charged your rates based on the biggest house on the street, allocated funding to rubbish collection based on the number of houses on the street but only guessed how many houses were on your street and always underestimated.
Thats what its like in Indonesia and people are missing out on basic services.
JMS has developed a very simple open source database and web system (Desa (Village) Information System - SID) to assist village administration. When they take this to local village governments to train the staff on how to use it they currently have no way of displaying the training. They currently have to do one on one laptop to laptop. They need to SHOW it and thats why they need a PROJECTOR.
Please help me raise a small amount of money to help this organisation do a whole lot of work easier.
