It is with great sadness to announce our dear friend and beloved husband, son and brother, Takayuki Miura (December 14th 1969 – July 7th 2020) passed away peacefully in his sleep and released from any pain or suffering on Earth. Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our forever cherished Taka, who has been such an important member of our families. Taka, a dedicated loving husband to Chiyuki Miura, an affectionate and caring son to Kounosuke Miura and Sumiko Miura, brother to Midori and Akemiand a wonderful friend to so many. Our lives without Taka will never be the same. It is rare to find someone as radiant, funny, kind hearted and amazing as Taka.

He will be fondly remembered as the life of the party, always joking and making everyone laugh. Everyone who had the privilege to know Taka, felt his engaging energy and natural ability to make everyone feel special and loved in his presence. His motto in life was “we are family”, and he always reminded us to “smile and be happy”. His loyalty, support, love and dedication to his wife, family and friends went far beyond expectations.

The love, support and touching tributes that have poured in from all over the world in memory of Taka is testament to the incredible impact he had on everyone who was lucky to have known him. We all share the privilege to be a part of Taka’s remarkable life. We will always hold him close to our hearts through the beautiful memories we have created with him in Tokyo, Bali and Gili Meno.

Many friends around the world have been praying for Taka and asking how they can offer support. We have created this GoFundMe Memorial to come together in Taka’s memory to financially support his beautiful wife, Chiyuki Miura and his family during this difficult time. We hope everyone will contribute what they can afford to help ease the financial strain of his hospitalization, funeral and give support to his family. Please also feel free to share messages, stories, memories and photos on this page in honor and remembrance of Taka.

The iconic “Taka face”, his signature smile, and most importantly his heart of gold is will be dearly missed.

Love knows no boundaries. Taka’s life legacy will remain with us forever:
To always be kind, compassionate, helpful and generous to each other while
Spreading love, joy and laughter.
To live life to the fullest, while appreciating and being present in every moment
