Tafo Hospital, Ghana

Hi Guys! I will be volunteering at Tafo Hospital in Kumasi Ghana in July this year. My project is 80% self-funded, however, my aim is to raise £300 to buy some resources to donate to the hospital. Specifically, I will be helping out in the clinical psychology department assisting the staff with the patients with a variety of mental health conditions. This is an area that is of high interest to me. In Ghana Psychology is not heavily practiced and as a result hopsitals are over accomodated and sometimes understaffed. Therefore, resources are often limited and many individuals remain untreated and stigmatised by their circumstances. I am hoping that your donations will be beneficial in making a positive contribution to devising appropiate programmes and activities to assist in the rehabilitation and recovery of the patients of Tafo Hospital. I am keen to give back to a community that I believe can truly benefit from the generosity of us all. I hope that you are able to help me achieve my goal by donating anything big or small.
