SwiftGrade for teachers

For teachers like us, the most challenging part of our profession is the amount of time we spend marking tests and assignments. This is time well spent when we are giving our students meaningful feedback, but it is a major energy drain when we are doing repetitive mundane grading.

So far, ed-tech has provided two main solutions for teachers to reduce their grading: The first is to use multiple choice tests. However, these do not encourage students to display a deep level of knowledge. The second is that we have online testing programs. Major flaws with these programs are that students need to take their tests online, which creates logistical issues of bringing students to computer labs. If students use their own devices, then it increases the chances for academic dishonesty as students can easily go onto other websites to look up the answers.

The solution to this is SwiftGrade, a tool that instantly grades almost any paper test, with almost any question type, just by pointing your smartphone’s camera at it. A stack of 30 quizzes that would take 1-2 hours to grade now takes 1-2 minutes! SwiftGrade grades all the short finite answers, and gives the teacher powerful tools to grade the students process and work.

Students love it as well as they get instant feedback on their performance - which is the best educational use of assessments.
