My name is Peter and this is our story. My wife and I have been married 5 years and they have been the best years of my life. For over 10 years I worked full time as a director with a youth center in my town. This was a dream job and one I had been blessed to work at for so long. About 2 years ago I was laid off due to lack of funding. This happened while my wife was pregnant with our first child. SCARY! I was only out of work for about a month before I was able to find a management position at a local fast food establishment.

Durring that month we picked up a business my family used to do and I had knowledge of to offset income. The business we started is a bulk vending company. This was and is great because I could do it on the side and work full time. We were able to grow it in a matter of a year to about 65 locations. This allowed my wife to step into a part time position and stay home with our new baby more.

Our campaign is to raise the money needed to purchase another 2 established routes to expand our business and to pay down some debt. With the addition of income from the purchase of the new vending route and paying off some debt, my wife will be able to pursue her/our hearts desire to stay home with our 2 year old daughter and son that is due in October. We are a Christian family, and it is our belief and desire that my wife should be at home full time, teaching and training our children. We currently work opposite schedules during the day to avoid putting our daughter in daycare, this means that we do not get to spend very much time together as a couple or family.

IF you decide to contribute to our cause you will be helping us not only spend more time as a family but allowing us to achive goals and dreams of being fully self employed.

So here is the break down -

70% of the funds will be used to pay for the purchase of these 2 new vending routes and growing our family run business. This will be first priority as this will help us to pay off additional debt and reach our goal.

30% of the funds will be used to pay off or "snowball" our business/personal debt to increase the opportunity for my wife to stay home with our amazing kids.

We understand that this debt is our fault, but TRUST us we have certainly learned our lessons over the last few years and I have been running the vending business, working full time and my wife has been working part time so we can get out of this mess and provide a great future for the health and happiesnes of our family. We also completed a financial class together to learn how to manage our finances debt free going forward. We no longer have any credit cards.

We do plan to offer some perks along the way including baskets of your favorite candy or even and antique candy machine with candy!

We feel the impact of this goal is very great. Not only willl it provide a more stable home for our children and family, but as children grow from infancy to school-age, they are learning all about life and what to expect from the people around them. Children function best in their world by knowing that there is stability and predictability at home. Having a mother home to care for them if they are sick or even later when they get home from school can be a huge benefit to their sense of self-esteem and having a sense that they are cared for and loved. THis provides a more well balanced stable youth and young adults going out into the world.

The past few years have been very hard for our family as we have worked opposite each other, only allowing a few hours each day to see each other. We would continue to do this if it ment our childeren would be at home with us, but it is not the ideal situation for a healthy marriage.

If you belive and understand our position please share with and tell others so we can reach this gaol that is very big to us, God, and others.

Rewards

An antique gumball machine with your choice of candy.
