Helping little JD overcome Open Heart Surgery

Hello everyone.

We are the parents of baby John Daniel P. Tagoon. A 4-year old boy with a Congenital Heart Disease named Tetralogy of Fallot.

On the day he was born, his hands, feet and lips were extremely color purple. He stayed in the hospital for two weeks to recover due to lack of oxygenation in the blood and some other complications due to his diagnosis.

In his first year of life, he was not an ordinary baby who can cry longer, who can crawl nor walk on his own. It takes one and a half years before he had his first BT shunt, a closed heart surgery. From there, before he turn 2 years old, with God's help and mercy, he had his first stand and walk on his own.

A BT shunt is a small tube called Gore-tex where in it will be placed between two ventricles of his heart to increase pulmonary blood flow.

However, BTS is a band aid solution for TOF Babies. They need to have a follow-up open heart surgery because there is a higher amount of chance that the Goretex will be in no used since all of their veins in the heart grows. BTShunt only lasts for 1 to 2 years.

Growing up on his 2nd and 3rd year of life, he usually sits in his stroller which serves as his wheelchair. He is also classified as Person with Disabilities. He cannot walk for a long period of time because he is panting. He cannot even jump. He cannot do any other physical activities because it may results to his lack of oxygenation.

Last September 2018, he had his 2d echo. His pedia cardio informed us that he need to really undergo soonest for the open heart surgery.

His pedia cardio from Philippine Heart Center informed us to prepare for more than a half million cost of open heart surgery. While for his other hospital named Philippine Children's Medical Center, they want us to prepare for a more than of 100,000.00 peso-cost of dental surgery and phlebotomy works for his teeth and blood, respectively, in preparation with his open heart surgery.

This 12th of November 2018, he will start his phlebotomy and on 14th, he will undergo dental surgery.

Two weeks after the discharge from dental surgery, he needs to undergo for an open heart surgery.

This end of the year 2018 has been a challenging for us since we have to raise for almost a million pesos for only a specific amount of time.

We are humbly knocking your hearts for a little amount of help to save our little JD's life. We are really in need of financial assistance for him and of course, prayers.

We are hoping that somehow this gogetfunding.com will aid our financial bills. If God-willing he overcome these 2 surgeries, he will have a new life just like any other normal kid.
